Research and Planning: Designing an ESting

For my ESting I have decided to use the format of stop-motion animation, using people and objects as my subject. The ESting will involve a person falling from a building but as he falls he does different activities (drinking tea, checking the time etc). When he lands it will be on a target shaped like the E4 logo and be kept pg. The reason I chose this narrative and form of media is because I feel like it would be very fitting with the past EStings and will have comedic value if created correctly.

The animation will be set on top of a building, which we will green screen in. Once he has jumped off the building it will cut to him falling down a brick wall. We will achieve this by using a realistic brick wallpaper and by moving the actor down the paper, while the camera stays the same. Using a realistic brick wallpaper will give the animation a nice home made feel while getting across the idea that the character is meant to be falling.

One of the possible issues will be finding some realistic brick wallpaper within budget. Because of this we are working on a way of extending our budget. I also feel like the green screening process could not be as aesthetically pleasing as the rest of the ESting, because the creases in the fabric could easily ruin the look of the film.

My primary audience: Young adults, both genders, comedic, C2DE classed.
My secondary audience: 36+, both genders, AB classed.
Their interests would be probably in spending time with friends, using social media and watching films/TV. A genre of film that they would possibly like would be comedy, hence why our ESting is a comedy. The reason they are my primary/secondary audience is because according to British Audience Research Board the majority of people watching E4 are young adults.
